can be moulded into any shape at the manufacturing stage. Once set, it retains its shape. Hereby, we can give any shape to this material at manufacturing stage. Also, when heated uniformly up to 160ºC, returns to a plastic state and can be moulded. We currently supply this material as: Sheets
is produced in sheets of various sizes. The standard thicknesses normally used in the market are 6mm (¼") and 12.7mm (½"). At times few architects specify 19mm (¾"). All these thickness are manufactured. However, orders with custom thickness can be entertained, if within the structural limits. The standard sizes of the sheets are 250cm x 80cm. and 315cm x 85cm.
Wash-Basin
Cast-in wash basins (sinks) in various shape and sizes are available. These basins can be monolith with vanity top. The tops can optionally have backsplashes and downturns. The wash basin may be in same colour as the top or in any available colours. The sink comes complete with built-in overflow that forms an integral part of the sink, similar to ceramic sinks. The sink comes with opening of a standard 2" drain. The special method of casting of sink gives it resistance to the impinging force of water-jet from the faucet
Kitchen Sinks
is highly recommended in kitchens is non-porous. Normally, with natural stones, dirt, oil and grease enter the microscopic pores in the material and attract bacterium and fungi. These are health hazards. Also, these elements emit odour.
Cast-in kitchen sinks are available in configuration of one bowl, two bowls and three bowls. . These sinks are monolith with kitchen tops. The tops can optionally have backsplashes and downturns. The sink may be in same colour as the top or in any available colours. The sink comes with opening of a standard 4" drain. This wider diameter drain size can accommodate a garbage disposal unit to be installed. The special method of casting of sink gives it resistance to the impinging force of water-jet from the faucet.
Tabletops for Restaurants
is highly recommended in restaurants. The non-porous quality of prevents the seepage of oil, grease and dirt into the microscopic pores of the top material. Normally, with natural stones, dirt, oil and grease enter the pores and attract bacterium and fungi. These are health hazards. Also, these elements emit odour.
There are various designs of tabletops available for restaurants. The basic design consists of 12mm top with a 4cm edge. The size and the shape are customer's prerogative. Customer should verify the structural soundness of the size with respect to the support he selects. Engineers in our design department are always available for recommendations.
Another, less recommended but highly popular design is 18mm densified fiberboard top with a cladding of 6mm thick . The edge has a 15mm wide and 4cm thick border.
In both above mentioned designs the border is cast around the tabletop and forms a chemical bond with it. This gives the edge a strength, which is available only with . Other competitors provide a 12mm wide, 4cm thick edge, which cracks with normal usage. Many of the architects have problem with edges opening at the joins. We have the answer to their problem.
Counter Tops for Offices, Banks, Airlines, Conference Halls etc.
surface is smooth and pleasing without joints. It is ideal for counters and work-desks in offices, banks, airports, conference hall, seminar rooms etc. Furniture at all these places needs a smooth finish. These are generally achieved by wood varnish, spray paint, lacquer paint or laminates. Finishing edges are not possible in laminates. They also have joints beyond certain dimensions. Rest of the finishes is weak against water and wear easily. They are also not easy to clean and accumulate dust.
does not have any of these disadvantages. In addition, it is harder (HB 5910), retardant to chemical effect, protective against cigarette burns (NEMA LC3-3.10), and available in desired colours.
All these counters are made in plywood or densified fiberboard or wood. They are then coated with 12mm and 6mm thick sheets. The edges are joined with adhesives from the same material as . This bonds the two parts chemically as if it was monolith.
A highly recommended method for such counters is to divide the counter into constituent rectangular parts. Clad the six sides of each part and then join each in its position in the counter using adhesive. Horizontal surfaces, and vertical surfaces which are likely to receive impact load, should be clad with 12mm thick . Rest with 6mm thick .
